The World’s First Water Purification Lighthouse Factory Settles in Qingdao

On January 23, 2026, the World Economic Forum officially announced the 15th batch of Global Lighthouse Factory list. Haier Water Purification Interconnected Factory located in Jimo, Qingdao was successfully selected, becoming **the first and only Global Lighthouse Factory in the global water purification industry**, marking that China's water purification industry has stepped into the world's top level of intelligent manufacturing.

The selected Haier Water Purification Lighthouse Factory has achieved the whole-chain intelligent upgrading from R&D, production, quality inspection to warehousing, relying on three core advantages: full-process AI intelligent control, digital production link and green low-carbon manufacturing. Through big data to accurately regulate production parameters, the factory has greatly improved the production efficiency and product qualification rate of filter elements and complete water purification machines. Meanwhile, it practices the concept of green production, reducing energy consumption by more than 30% compared with traditional factories.
